Claudia is a German citizen, born in Ingolstadt in 1966, where she attend school. Claudia studied geography at the University of Regensburg, and completed a M.Sc. degree in 1992, using field work from the Etosha National Park in Namibia.
Wynand is a South African citizen, born in Pretoria in 1963. He completed a Honours degree in Wildlife Management in 1987 at the University of Pretoria. After that he was employed in the Etosha National Park in Namibia as an ecologist, and completed a M.Sc in Wildlife Management in 1990. Wynand spent 13 years in Etosha, and Claudia 8 years.
Claudia & Wynand are now living in Swakopmund and both have permanent residency in Namibia. They are full time nature/wildlife photographers since November 2000. Their daughter, Julia, was born in 2001.
In 2003 they self-published a coffee-table book on the Etosha National Park in Namibia, called "Etosha - Rhythms of an African Wilderness, available in English and German. In 2007 their Etosha book was reprinted, bound in harcover, and expanded to include a French and a Italian version. They also publish a postcard series on wildlife and Namibian landscapes, calendars, photo art prints, T-shirts, bookmark calendars, posters and car bumper stickers.
